Making pottery was Ann's introduction to clay and she strives to make the functional also a piece of art. Most of her work has some form of embellishment or decoration. Often you will find carved or painted vines and leaves on her work, inspired by her love of nature.

Ancient Garden

Wrapped in a soft layer of leaves this sculpture evokes a sense of quiet thoughtfulness as she serenely contemplates the garden. 25" tall, made of glazed porcelain finished with a pale green stain to highlight the texture of real leaves impressed into her garment. $750.00

Peasant in Ceremonial Dress

I have always loved oriental art and many of my sculptures in the past have been influenced by the Eastern Cultures. I wanted this piece to have the bright colors of a spring garden combined with the aesthetic beauty of oriental traditions. $1200.00

Gaia

Inspired by the idea of the "Tree of Life" This sculpture stands 26" high. She is made of glazed porcelain which has been carved and then painted to highlight the tree, she holds a newly budding bulb, representing new life. $1200.00

Katrina

Wrapped in the gift of a blanket, this sculpture was inspired by the tragic events of hurricane Katrina as she expresses both sadness and hope. This piece represents the redeeming qualities of mankind as we give help and protection to our neighbors in need. Height: 17". $700.00

Waking

The 4th piece in my torso series, this sculpture was inspired by a desire to show the fluid lines of the female body. My intent was to give a sense of her floating on air during that brief moment between light sleep and gentle waking. Porcelain on a wood base with a slate background size:12"Wx7"Dx11"H. $850.00
